V22 n38
In the modern world of technological marvels, innovations and inventions, man is constantly coming up with many new ideas. (Pro 8:12). And in this present world that is so fast paced, man has gotten to the place where he is able to advertise these products world wide, or country wide, depending on the scope of the product being presented. And yet, with all of the high tech advertising, marketing, as well as high tech and high speed manufacturing; all too often when one will pursue or try to obtain some of these products in a hurried manner, a common reply that one will get or obtain, is that they are not obtainable, or, out of stock.
What one often forgets, is that with God and His free gift of salvation, there is never a shortage; there is never a lack, never a waiting list. Every promise of God has already been fulfilled by and through Jesus Christ.
Phil 4:19, But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (KJV)
Have you ever noticed, how that when Paul addresses the people, he states that it is “his God”. Paul knew God, and knew Him intimately by and through Jesus Christ. Paul was constantly growing, and coming to, or arriving at a deeper understanding of who God is; and all of the power, glory, might and majesty that is God’s, and yet available to each and every person that will believe in Him and His plan of redemption. Paul had a different relationship with God then what most Christians have. For in most instances, Christians are always quicker to believe that God will work in and for someone else, then they are to believe that God will work in and on their own behalf. Not many know the same God that Paul knew. Few know the same God that I know. And this is because people have not taken the time to find out who they are in Christ, as well as all that has been made available to the believer.
One needs to learn and grow in a working knowledge of God, and who He is, before they can ever begin to believe Him for the promises that have been made, and made available to them. One needs to learn and develop the same confidence that Jesus Christ had with Father, each and every day that He walked here upon this earth. Just as when the five thousand men, plus the women and children were fed by Jesus Christ; it may have appeared to the physical that there was not enough to meet the supply and demand that was needed, at that very moment. Jesus Christ was not deterred by how things appeared to be, or by how or what others told Him that the situation should be. Yet, how often are we slowed down, or detained in our walk with God, by what others tell us? Do you know, that all of the promises of God are yea and amen? Or, are you one of those that only hope that it is so?
If one does not believe God for all of the spiritual blessings that have been made available and accessible to us; how will they ever be able to believe or trust God for any of their physical needs or provisions? Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessing in the heavenlies in Christ Jesus. Now, is this statement true or false? Is this statement of fact for you, or only a hope? Have you received all that God has for you? Or, are you only hoping that you may receive some of them?
Eph 2:8-9, For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. (KJV)
For by grace are you saved through faith! It is in Christ, that one becomes the new creation, there is no other way. Old things are past away, and one is given a new, vibrant and fresh beginning in Christ. The old is left behind, it is dead and buried, never again to be remembered by Father. At this point all things should become new, and the Lord should become our Shepherd, and we should not want. This will happen, and come about, if one will continue in the Word on a daily basis. Learning to seek God for their daily bread, for then one will always have that which they are in need of from the Lord, for they know that He will withhold no good thing from them.
Mal 3:10-12, 10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. 11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts. 12 And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts. (KJV)
God’s storehouse always has ample provisions for those that have put their trust in Him. They have presented themselves to Him, a living sacrifice; that is, alive in Christ, and in doing so, have been adopted into His family. As they follow the Word, now the blessings of God, His mercy and goodness, follow us and overtake us, because one has listened to His Word, and has done those things that He has asked of us.
Being a doer of the Word, and not a hearer only. Not just listening to the Word of God, but allowing it (the Word) into your heart, so that it becomes an actual way of life to you. For as you seek first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness (2Cor 5:21, 1Cor 1:30), then all that you have need of, will be added unto you. One will not be concerned with yesterday, for that is gone, it is in the past; and tomorrow is not yet here, so I live today to the best of my ability, to the glory and praise of God the Father, through Jesus Christ.
With God there is never a shortage, never an out of stock sign.
He is the God that is more then enough.
That you may know Him,
In the service of Jesus Christ.
